Pengaruh Pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) Terhadap Hasil Belajar Materi Luas Bangun Datar Pada Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Soromandi

Abstract

Penelitian ini berujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh pendekatan pendidikan matematika realistik indonesia (PMRI) terhadap hasil belajar materi luas bangun datar pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 6 Soromandi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen semu (Quasi experiment). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 4 kali pertemuan, pertemuan pertama memberikan soal awal (pretest) untuk mengetahui seberapa kemampuan siswa mengetahui materi luas bangun datar tersebut sebelum memberikan perlakuan/pemahaman terhadap materi tersebut, pertemuan ke 2, ke 3 membahas materi dan mulai menerapkan PMRI. Populasi yang duganakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 6 Soromandi yang berjumlah 21 orang, karna jumlah populasi relatif kecil maka sampel dalam penelitian ini di ambil semua dari jumlah populasi yaitu 21 orang siswa, sehingga penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian populasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan sebagai tes hasil belajar siswa matematika adalah 5 butir soal pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan uji – t untuk menguji hipotesis yang diajukan dari hasil perhitungan yang telah dilakukan ternyata diperoleh thitung sebesar 5.93383 kemudian dikonsultasikan dengan taraf signifikasi sebesar 0,05 dan derajat kebebasan 20 diperoleh nilai ttabel  sebesar 1.72074 . Karena thitung > ttabel (5.93383 > 1. 72074) maka HO ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah diberikan perlakuan dengan pendekatan PMRI.
