Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui kemampuan memori mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Sains pada materi tata nama senyawa kompleks; 2) mengidentifikasi pengaruh kemampuan memori mahasiswa prodi pendidikan sains pada materi tata nama senyawa kompleks. Teknik pengumpulan data dari penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling purposive. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu sebagai berikut: 1) kemampuan memori dalam penyelesaian soal tata nama senyawa kompleks dibagi menjadi 3, yaitu kemampuan memori tinggi, sedang dan rendah, a) subyek dengan kemampuan memori tinggi menunjukkan kecenderungan memiliki kemampuan memori yang cukup dalam penyelesaian soal tata nama senyawa kimia dengan perolehan nilai 97 untuk subyek 1 dan nilai 70 untuk subyek 2; b) subyek dengan kemampuan memori sedang menunjukkan kecenderungan memiliki kemampuan memori yang kurang dalam penyelesaian soal tata nama senyawa kimia dengan perolehan nilai 60 untuk subyek 3 dan nilai 47 untuk subyek 4; c) subyek dengan kemampuan memori rendah menunjukkan kecenderungan memiliki kemampuan memori yang sangat kurang dalam penyelesaian soal tata nama senyawa kimia dengan perolehan nilai 34 untuk subyek 5 dan nilai 27 untuk subyek 6, 2) faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan memori mahasiswa dalam penyelesaian tata nama senyawa kompleks yaitu kurangnya perhatian mahasiswa serta faktor pribadi, yaitu minat, motivasi dan emosi mahasiswa.
