Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana kemampuan penalaran matematis dan self confidence siswa SMP pada materi perbandingan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII.6 SMP Negeri 3 Prabumulih yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan penalaran matematis dan angket self confidence siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Dari hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa termasuk kategori rendah dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 55,03 dan tingkat self confidence siswa termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 74,71.
