Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Siswa Ditinjau dari Self Efficacy
Abstract
Peran matematika tidak hanya menuntut siswa untuk memahami seluruh materi, tetapi juga melatih mereka untuk berpikir kreatif, logis, dan memahami aplikasi matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, yang dikenal sebagai Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada materi bentuk aljabar, dengan mempertimbangkan self efficacy matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Kabila Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025, di mana masing-masing diambil satu orang berdasarkan tingkat self efficacy yang tinggi, sedang, dan rendah dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang diperoleh kemudian direduksi dan dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan memperhatikan indikator-indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan self efficacy tinggi dapat menguasai semua indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Siswa dengan self efficacy sedang mampu menguasai tiga indikator, sedangkan siswa dengan self efficacy rendah hanya menguasai dua indikator pemecahan masalah matematika
