Scaffolding Sesuai Gaya Belajar Sebagai Usaha Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Matematis

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan proses scaffolding bagi mahasiswa calon guru sesuai gaya belajarnya. Desain penelitian menggunakan kualitatif triangulatif. Subjek penelitian mahasiswa calon guru SD tahun pertama Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana yang berjumlah 24 orang dan sedang mengambil mata kuliah Konsep Dasar Matematika. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, subjek memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang berbeda dilihat dari gaya belajarnya. Dua aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang masih rendah adalah keluwesan dan kebaruan. Masih kurangnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis subjek dikarenakan masih kurangnya kecintaan subjek terhadap matematika. Scaffolding sesuai gaya belajar dapat membantu memperbaiki pola pikir mahasiswa sehingga kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematisnya meningkat. Teknik dan lamanya proses scaffolding bergantung pada gaya belajar dan kemampuan subjek mengikuti proses scaffolding. Proses scaffolding harus dilakukan sesuai respon subjek dan kebutuhan subjek sesuai gaya belajarnya. Meskipun gaya belajar berbeda, proses scaffolding lebih maksimal jika menggunakan media, baik berupa alat peraga maupun simulasi gambar.
