Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out whether the use of PBL (Problem Based Learning) can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 1 Gajah. This type of research is PTK (Classroom Action Research) which consists of two cycles. Each cycle includes the stages of planning, action, and reflection. The research subject is grade IV students at SDN 1 Gajah for the 2022/2023 academic year consisting of 21 students. The instrument used in this research is evaluation questions in the form of pre-test questions and post-test questions. Pre-test results showing the percentage of mastery the classical analysis score was only 47.61% with a class average score of 61.66%. The students' mathematics learning outcomes in cycle I averaged the class value of 73.04 with the number of students who achieved learning mastery of 52.3%. In the second cycle the class average grade was 79.04 with the number of students achieving learning mastery of 80.9%.
