Peran micro teaching terhadap peningkatan karakter mahasiswa calon guru

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pembelajaran micro teaching program studi PGMI IAIN Salatiga terhadap peningkatan karakter atau kepribadian mahasiswa yang sudah menempuh matakuliah micro teaching. Jenis penelitian ini ex-post facto dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Responden penelitian yaitu mahasiswa program studi PGMI IAIN Salatiga yang sudah menempuh mata kuliah micro teaching dan statusnya masih aktif serta dosen pengampu matakuliah micro teaching di Program Studi PGMI IAIN Salatiga. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan penyajian dokumentasi. Analisis data secara kualitatif melalui tahap pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan micro teaching berperan positif terhadap peningkatan karakter atau kepribadian mahasiswa yang sudah menempuh matakuliah micro teaching. Melalui kegiatan micro teaching, mahasiswa tidak hanya memperoleh pengetahuan dan pengalaman mengenai mengajar, tetapi juga didalamnya peningkatan karakter atau kepribadian. Peningkatan karakter pada mahasiswa melalui micro teaching adalah karakter disiplin, tanggung jawab, kreatif, dan mandiri.
