Abstract

Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan sebagai salah satu pilar pembentukan karakter dan jati diri bangsa, mengandung arti bahwa pendidikan kewarganegaraan mendidik warga negara menjadi warga negara yang baik, warga negara yang cerdas untuk menghadapi dunia yang sedang berkembang di era persaingan. Namun di sisi lain, mata pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang kurang diminati oleh peserta didik, karena bagi sebagain peserta didik tidak mudah untuk dapat memahami materi dan nilai melalui proses pembelajaran PKn  disamping itu kurangnya waktu yang tersedia dan metode diskusi dan tanya jawab   Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan merupakan instrumen untuk mempersiapkan generasi muda dengan bekal yang cukup untuk konteks kehidupan yang diperlukan. Berpikir kritis, tanggung jawab, berpikir demokratis dan kemampuan kinerja mendukung media dalam pembangunan karakter bangsa.
